I believe that this is natural turquoise. I am not an expert on antique jewelry, I did do some research, and believe that this is a quality, unusual piece of jewelry that is not seen on the market everyday. This piece has plenty of Matrix, ( webbing within the stone) not just a solid color.

My best guess on the metal, would be brass. I bought it at an antique store in ME. in 1972. I have had it packed away all these years.
The stones are ever so slightly darker than a robin's egg. It has four oval stones. Very ornate metal work, amazing detail.
This necklace is in absolutely beautiful Vintage condition. The clasp is in excellent working condition.
Wear it with your formal gown, or dress up your favorite tee. Wear it with your awesome PJs. or nothing at all. (Remember Rose, from Titanic?) Amazing piece of jewelry.
No markings on back which is typical before 1970.
It is 14" long, the brass scarab shaped medallions are just under the size of a quarter.
